This is my dad in the morning...scary eh?

Unlike most of the people in my class, I have a personal connection with my hero. My hero is my father. David Lewis, He is not just my hero because he helps me through my hard times and is always there for me,one of the main reasons is he helped saved 2 drowning people, He didn't even know them.

A couple of summers ago me and my family went camping and the beach had a strong undertow, my family went down to the beach and we heard yelling and this girl and this guy were swimming and got caught in the undertow. Me and my brother Jarrett went to get help and to get ropes, but my father and my neighbour went out to help them, there was like 20 people out in the water. People had told me that my dad was the farthest out in the water and the closest to the people. By the time Me and Jarrett got back they were out of the water and the ambulance had arrived. My dad had to get taken to the hospital because his lungs were full of the salt water and he stayed there overnight. The couple were fine. That's why in my eyes my father is my greatest hero.

Some of the traits that makes my father a hero to me is that he's brave, he went in that water knowing that there was an undertow. Another trait is caring and thoughtful of others, my dad didn't even know the people in the water but risked his life to save them. My father always wants to right wrongs too, if he does something wrong he apoligizes or fixes it. After he saved them he said “I didn't do it for me but for them." So these are some of the many reasons why my greatest hero is my one and only father.
